The job:
We are seeking to recruit an IT Systems Administrator within the IT Team. This role will sit within the IT service desk and infrastructure function, primarily supporting incident management, service requests and operational delivery, with clear opportunity to grow and develop.
Procentia now operates a 100% Microsoft Azure-based hosting model for internal and client-facing environments. The role is therefore focused on administering Azure-hosted services, cloud infrastructure, identity and security controls, and the native Azure platform services that support the IntelliSuite applications, SQL Server databases and associated tooling.
Here's what you'll be doing:
·Manage and administer Azure-hosted IT infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, storage, monitoring, backup and supporting platform services.
Manage native Azure services to ensure appropriate performance, scalability, security, resilience and operational reliability.
Monitor and troubleshoot services and resources, including virtual machines, databases, storage, backup and monitoring solutions across internal and client-facing Azure environments.
Configure and support various SaaS applications used across the organisation, such as Microsoft 365, Business Central and Azure DevOps.
Adhere to security best practices to protect company data and infrastructure from potential threats and vulnerabilities. Feed into Data Security as a company-wide responsibility – ISO27001, SOC1/2, Cyber Essentials Plus.
Key skills and experience:
Azure / Windows Server Administration: Proficiency in managing and maintaining Azure-hosted Windows server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, patching, monitoring and troubleshooting.
Microsoft Azure: Hands-on experience with Azure, including provisioning and managing virtual machines, virtual networks, network security groups, storage accounts, backup/recovery services, monitoring/log analytics, Key Vault and database-related services.
Azure Networking: Understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and VPNs, with the ability to configure and troubleshoot Azure networking, connectivity and security controls.
Azure Native Services: Experience administering native Azure services and platform capabilities used to support secure, reliable and scalable services, including monitoring, backup, identity integration and operational alerting
