The job:
The Quality Assurance & Test (QAT) team work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, ensuring that the QA maxim “All change must be tested” is delivered, improving the quality of our clients' software and customer experience. This is done by discovering and preventing bugs to ensure that the software is fit for customer purpose. You will evaluate requirements along with User Stories, assisting in the planning out of your testing to a defined Test Plan, and participate in testing activities across a variety of projects, including regression testing our suite of IntelliPen pensions applications, prior to release.
Here's what you'll be doing:
Client Success & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Support a client-focused approach by contributing to quality outcomes across delivery.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand testing scope, requirements, and expectations.
• Communicate test progress and findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Test Planning & Execution
• Contribute to the creation of Test Plans and supporting test artefacts.
• Write and execute test cases aligned to defined requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform testing across web and mobile environments using appropriate tools.
• Work to agreed deadlines, managing time effectively across assigned tasks.
Quality Assurance & Defect Management
• Support validation of solutions against requirements, Definition of Ready, and Definition of Done.
• Identify, document, and report defects with clear supporting evidence.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues and contribute to problem solving activities.
• Provide objective feedback to support improvements in product quality.
Key skills and experience:
· A bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or STEM-related role
· Confident at programming in at least one Object-Oriented language
· Problem solving skills
· Time management and strong focus on delivery
· Team player and great collaborator, also self-motivated and able to work independently
